The Camel

THe camel - dylan van den berg

THE CAMEL (2021)

The Camel is an absurd and darkly comic meditation on sibling relationships, the anxieties of being an artist, and how to deal with the camel in your ceiling.

This production of The Camel marks the Victorian (and indeed, mainland) premiere of this sharp comedy from emerging Palawa playwright Dylan Van Den Berg. His play Way Back When received the 2020 Griffin Award for new Australian writing, and was shortlisted for the Patrick White Playwrights Award. Other work includes Milk (The Street Theatre), The Camel (Fringe at the Edge), and Blue: A Misery Play (The Street Theatre).

Presented by FlickFlickCity, directed by Marni Mount, and starring Myfanwy Hocking and Harry McGee.

The Camel is an exciting show for anyone interested in fresh faces, new voices, and good comedy, and anyone with a taste for the slightly absurd.

Warning: Contains moderate coarse language, sudden loud noises, potentially triggering content or themes, including Violence
